This article analyzes the impact of ergonomic factors in automated workplaces on the health of IT specialists. In particular, the causes, symptoms, and prevention methods of carpal tunnel syndrome resulting from prolonged computer use are highlighted. In addition, the importance of proper ergonomic organization of the workplace, the position while working with a monitor, keyboard, and mouse, body posture, and rest schedule are discussed. The article substantiates that compliance with ergonomic requirements is an important factor in maintaining the productivity and health of IT employees.References
