This article examines the pressing issues of personal data protection in the context of rapid digital transformation. The study provides a comprehensive analysis of the concept of personal data, its socio-economic significance, and the legal relationships associated with it. Particular attention is paid to the challenges arising in the digital environment, including unauthorized data collection, storage, and processing, cybercrime, data breaches, and risks associated with the increasing use of artificial intelligence technologies.References
