This article analyzes the structural and semantic features of proverbs expressed with the numeral “one” in English and Uzbek languages. The study examines the grammatical functions, semantic meanings, and linguocultural significance of numeral components in proverbs. It is revealed that the numeral “one/bir” expresses concepts such as unity, solidarity, caution, individuality, and social relations. While English proverbs mainly emphasize individuality and pragmatic meaning, Uzbek proverbs reflect collectivism and moral values more strongly. The research findings demonstrate that numeral components play an important role in shaping the structural integrity and semantic expressiveness of proverbs.References
