This article analyzes the process of the establishment of the independent Republic of Uzbekistan in 1991, its historical preconditions, and multifaceted significance based on scholarly literature. It covers the political, economic, social, cultural, and international dimensions of independence. Independence is evaluated as the realization of the centuries-old dream of the Uzbek people, the restoration of national statehood, and the beginning of a new development era.References
