Abstract

This article examines the role and significance of toponymic vocabulary in the language system. Toponyms, as linguistic units denoting geographical names, occupy an important place in the lexical and semantic structure of language. The study analyzes the linguistic, cultural, historical, and pragmatic features of toponymic vocabulary and its functions in communication. Furthermore, the article discusses the relationship between toponyms and national identity, cultural memory, and worldview.
