Translation is not only a linguistic activity but also a complex cognitive and cultural process. One of the most challenging issues is lexical gaps (non-equivalence), where no direct equivalent exists. This study explores English–Uzbek lexical gaps, their types, and translation strategies. It concludes that effective translation requires cultural awareness, context sensitivity, and strategic flexibility.References
