Abstract

This study investigates the impact of English proficiency on education and career opportunities, emphasizing its role as a global lingua franca. Using a mixed-methods approach, quantitative surveys and qualitative interviews were conducted with university students and early-career professionals to examine the relationship between English skills, academic performance, and professional advancement. The findings indicate a strong positive correlation between English proficiency and access to educational resources, participation in international programs, and career growth. The study highlights English as a critical enabler of knowledge acquisition, employability, and socio-economic mobility, while also addressing challenges related to linguistic inequality and cultural preservation. The research underscores the importance of integrating English language learning into educational systems and professional development strategies to enhance academic and career outcomes in a globalized context.
