"The article analyzes the current ecological state of populations of 5 promising medicinal plant species growing under the extreme arid and saline climate conditions of the Ustyurt Plateau (the territory of the Republic of Karakalpakstan). Field research was conducted in May 2026 using geobotanical and population methods at 8 key reference coordinate points (recorded using the MAPS.ME application) directed from the north to the south of the plateau.
