THE CONTEMPORARY DEVELOPMENT OF KARAKALPAK NATIONAL SINGING ART

Abstract

This article analyzes the history, genre features, and contemporary development of Karakalpak national singing art. It also highlights the importance of folk songs, baxshi and jiraw traditions in the spiritual life of the Karakalpak people. The study examines the development of national singing art under the influence of modern technologies, stage performance, and international cultural relations, as well as its growing popularity among young people. Furthermore, special attention is given to the preservation of traditional musical heritage, safeguarding authentic performance styles, and transmitting them to future generations.
