The health of military-age young men is an important indicator of public health and determines the quality of the state’s mobilization resources. In recent years, there has been a deterioration in indicators of physical development and functional status among adolescents and young men, which is associated with the characteristics of modern lifestyles, insufficient physical activity, unhealthy nutrition, нарушения режима дня and the spread of harmful habits. The aim of this study was to investigate the medical and hygienic characteristics of the lifestyle of military-age young men and to identify risk factors affecting their health status. An analysis of questionnaire survey data and medical examination results of young men aged 17–18 years was conducted. It was found that a significant proportion of the examined individuals had insufficient levels of physical activity, irregular eating habits, and inadequate sleep patterns. The obtained results indicate the need to improve preventive measures aimed at promoting a healthy lifestyle among young people.
