Abstract

The present study examines the criteria underlying the concept of concert and performing arts activities with a view to formulating a legal definition thereof, in light of the absence of a unified term at both doctrinal and legislative levels. The author analyzes theoretical materials and judicial precedents of foreign jurisdictions in order to identify the most essential and fundamental criteria that reveal the nature of this type of activity. The legislation of several countries has also been reviewed to ensure a proper understanding of relevant law enforcement practice. The lack of a clear conceptual framework for concert and performing arts activities, as well as the absence of a well-defined classification of its criteria, contributes to the emergence and proliferation of fragmented interpretations.
