Yangi tug‘ilgan chaqaloqlarda pnevmoniya neonatal davr o‘limi va kasallanishining yetakchi yuqumli sabablaridan biri bo‘lib qolmoqda. Ushbu sharh maqolasi kasallikning ikki asosiy klinik-epidemiologik shakli - erta boshlanuvchi (hayotning dastlabki 72 soati) va kech boshlanuvchi (birinchi haftadan keyin, 28-kungacha) pnevmoniyaning tafovutlarini tizimli ravishda yoritishga bag‘ishlangan. Maqolada har bir shaklning etiologiyasi, patogenezi, xavf omillari, klinik kechishi, tashxis usullari va empirik davolash yondashuvlari adabiyotlar sharhi asosida alohida tahlil qilinadi.
