Abstrak

This article explores the essential role of functional parts of speech in the English language, focusing on their structural, grammatical, and communicative functions. It examines categories such as pronouns, prepositions, conjunctions, determiners, auxiliary verbs, and particles, emphasizing how they contribute to sentence coherence and syntactic organization. Through descriptive and analytical methods supported by linguistic literature, the study demonstrates that functional parts of speech form the grammatical framework that enables clarity, logical flow, and precise expression in communication.
