Periodontitis and the above systemic diseases are considered through common pathogenetic mechanisms associated with systemic inflammation. The postmenopausal period of women's life is characterized by metabolic disorders in various tissues, including the dental system, in the form of tooth loss, periodontal damage, and increased resorption of alveolar and jaw bones. At present, the high prevalence of dental diseases in women in the postmenopausal period and the difficulties that arise in their treatment and prevention are largely due to insufficient knowledge of the pathogenesis.##submission.downloads##
