LESSONS FROM SOUTH KOREA’S EDUCATION DEVELOPMENT FOR UZBEKISTAN: POLICY IMPLICATIONS FOR HUMAN CAPITAL GROWTH

Education is a key factor in socio-economic development and human capital formation. South Korea’s transformation from a low-income agrarian society to a global knowledge economy demonstrates the long-term impact of strategic investments in education. This article analyzes the main features of the South Korean education development model and assesses their relevance for Uzbekistan. Using qualitative analysis of secondary sources, the study examines education policies, vocational education systems, and human capital outcomes. The results highlight structural problems in Uzbekistan’s education sector, including quality disparities, limited technical training capacity, and labor market misallocation. Drawing on comparative insights, the article offers policy recommendations to enhance human capital development and support sustainable national growth.
