Аннотация:

This article provides a comprehensive comparative analysis of the speech acts of requests and apologies in English and Karakalpak languages. The main aim is to identify the similarities and differences in their linguistic structures, pragmatic strategies, and cultural underpinnings. Moreover, the research highlights how politeness and communication norms are shaped by cultural values and social traditions. Consequently, the study demonstrates that speech acts not only serve communicative purposes but also reflect deeper cultural identities and interpersonal relationships.
