Ushbu maqolada O‘zbekiston umumta’lim maktablarida ingliz tili o‘qitishda lug‘at boyligini rivojlantirishda loyiha asosidagi ta’lim (PBL – Project-Based Learning) metodining nazariy va amaliy imkoniyatlari yoritiladi. PBL o‘quvchilarni faol ta’lim jarayoniga jalb qiluvchi, mustaqil izlanish va hamkorlikni rag‘batlantiruvchi samarali metodlardan biridir. U lug‘at boyligini faqat yodlash asosida emas, balki amaliy qo‘llash orqali mustahkamlashga yordam beradi. Mazkur maqolada PBLning lingvistik va kognitiv afzalliklari, xalqaro tajriba va O‘zbekiston sharoitidagi tatbiq etish imkoniyatlari ilmiy tahlil qilinadi.
