Аннотация

This article presents a comparative study of gender representation in English and Uzbek literary dialogues. It examines how male and female characters are portrayed through their speech patterns, communication styles, and interactions in literary works. Since literature reflects social and cultural values, the analysis of dialogues can provide important insights into gender roles and relationships in different societies. Moreover, the study explores the similarities and differences between English and Uzbek literary traditions, because each culture has its own understanding of gender identity and social expectations. In addition, the article highlights how language is used to express power, emotions, politeness, and social status in dialogues. Overall, the research contributes to a better understanding of the relationship between language, gender, and culture in literary discourse.
