STUDY OF THE ANTI-INFLAMMATORY ACTIVITY OF A DRY EXTRACT BASED ON ACHILLEA FILIPENDULINA IN A CARRAGEENAN-INDUCED INFLAMMATION MODEL

Abstract:
This study investigates the anti-inflammatory activity of a dry extract derived from the flowers of Achillea filipendulina, Glycyrrhiza glabra and Calendula officinalis flowers using a carrageenan-induced inflammation model. Experimental studies were conducted on mature same-sex rats weighing 190±200 g. The anti-inflammatory effect of the substances was studied by subplantar injection of 0.1 ml of a 1% carrageenan solution into the right hind paw of the experimental animals. One hour prior to inducing aseptic inflammation, a decoction prepared at a 1:10 ratio was administered intragastrically using a metal probe at doses of 100 mg/kg and 200 mg/kg. The results demonstrated that the studied dry extract at a dose of 200 mg/kg exerted a significant anti-inflammatory effect within a 4-hour interval.
