HAMLET AND MACBETH A PSYCHOLOGICAL COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS
Main Article Content
Аннотация:
This article presents a comparative psychological analysis of William Shakespeare’s tragedies Hamlet and Macbeth. The study focuses on the inner conflicts of the protagonists, their decision-making processes, moral dilemmas, and the psychological mechanisms that lead them to tragic outcomes. Hamlet is portrayed as an introspective and reflective character whose excessive self-analysis delays action, while Macbeth is depicted as an impulsive and ambition-driven figure whose rapid actions result in psychological disintegration. Through a contrastive approach, the article demonstrates how Shakespeare constructs two distinct psychological models of tragedy: reflective consciousness and destructive ambition.
