Mass media plays a crucial role in shaping and developing culture in Karakalpakstan by preserving traditions, promoting national identity, and facilitating cultural exchange. This article explores the historical evolution of mass media in the region, from early print and broadcast media to modern digital platforms. It highlights how television, radio, newspapers, and social media contribute to cultural awareness, artistic expression, and community engagement. Additionally, the article examines challenges such as globalization, language barriers, and financial constraints that affect media’s cultural impact. Finally, recommendations are provided to enhance the role of mass media in fostering cultural development, emphasizing the need for government support, media literacy, and digital innovation.
