THE EFFECTIVENESS OF MULTIMEDIA TECHNOLOGIES IN DEVELOPING PRONUNCIATION SKILLS OF PRIMARY SCHOOL STUDENTS: AN EXPERIMENTAL STUDY

This study examines the effectiveness of multimedia technologies in improving pronunciation skills among primary school students learning English as a foreign language. The integration of digital tools such as interactive videos, pronunciation software, audio recordings, and multimedia presentations has become increasingly common in modern language teaching. The research analyzes how multimedia-supported instruction influences students’ phonetic awareness, articulation accuracy, and listening discrimination skills. An experimental study was conducted with primary school students divided into control and experimental groups. The experimental group was taught using multimedia technologies, while the control group followed traditional pronunciation teaching methods. The findings demonstrate that multimedia tools significantly enhance pronunciation acquisition by providing visual, auditory, and interactive learning experiences. Students exposed to multimedia-based instruction showed higher improvement in pronunciation accuracy, phoneme recognition, and intonation patterns. The results confirm that multimedia technologies play an important role in modern language education, especially in early language learning stages, where auditory and visual stimuli are essential for phonetic development.

ADAPTING LITERATURE FOR DIFFERENT LEARNING STYLES

Literature plays a crucial role in education by fostering critical thinking, cultural understanding, and creativity. However, traditional teaching methods often fail to accommodate the diverse learning styles of students, leading to disengagement and limited comprehension. This paper explores how literature instruction can be adapted to different learning styles visual, auditory, kinesthetic, and reading/writingthrough multimodal strategies to enhance student engagement and comprehension. Multimodal approaches integrate various instructional methods, such as digital storytelling, interactive e-books, and blended learning, to create a more inclusive and effective learning environment. Visual learners benefit from graphic novels, video adaptations, and mind maps, while auditory learners engage more with audiobooks, discussions, and oral presentations. Kinesthetic learners, who learn best through movement and hands-on activities, benefit from role-playing, dramatizations, and interactive projects. Meanwhile, reading/writing learners excel through journaling, analytical essays, and textual annotations. The study highlights the cognitive benefits of a multimodal approach, emphasizing that incorporating multiple sensory modalities enhances retention and comprehension. Additionally, differentiated instruction fosters an inclusive classroom environment, ensuring that all students, including those with learning disabilities, have access to meaningful learning experiences. A student-centered approach allows learners to engage with literature in ways that align with their strengths and preferences, increasing motivation and long-term interest in reading and analysis.

CLINICAL COURSE OF TUBERCULOUS MENINGITIS IN THE CONTEXT OF HIV INFECTION

Tuberculous meningitis is one of the most severe forms of tuberculosis and poses a significant life-threatening risk, particularly for patients living with HIV. HIV-associated immunodeficiency markedly alters the pathogenesis and clinical progression of the disease, resulting in atypical presentations, rapid progression, and a high incidence of severe neurological complications. Patients often present with prolonged fever, headache, changes in mental status, and focal neurological deficits, while classical meningeal signs may be less noticeable, leading to delays in diagnosis. Laboratory and cerebrospinal fluid findings are frequently nonspecific, and distinguishing the disease from other opportunistic central nervous system infections remains a major diagnostic challenge. Early recognition of tuberculous meningitis, timely initiation of appropriate antimicrobial therapy, and careful management of antiretroviral treatment-including prevention and control of immune reconstitution inflammatory syndrome-are critical for improving clinical outcomes in HIV-infected patients.

SURGICAL MANAGEMENT OF ORAL CAVITY TUMORS AND CYSTS

Oral tumors and cysts are common pathological entities in the oral cavity that can significantly affect both functional and aesthetic aspects of the jaw and surrounding structures. These lesions may be classified as benign or malignant, and cystic formations, with varying clinical presentations, growth patterns, and recurrence potential. Early detection and accurate diagnosis through clinical examination, radiographic imaging, and histopathological evaluation are essential for effective management. Surgical intervention remains the primary treatment modality, with the choice of technique dependent on lesion type, size, location, and aggressiveness. Postoperative care, including monitoring for complications and recurrence, plays a critical role in achieving favorable outcomes. Advances in minimally invasive, laser-assisted, and computer-guided surgical techniques, combined with regenerative approaches, have improved treatment precision, reduced morbidity, and enhanced functional and aesthetic rehabilitation. This study provides a comprehensive review of the etiology, clinical features, diagnostic strategies, surgical management, postoperative care, and recurrence patterns of oral tumors and cysts, emphasizing evidence-based approaches for optimal patient care.
