Abstract

This article comprehensively covers the kinetics of enzymes, their catalytic properties in biological systems, and their role in controlling metabolic processes. The specificity of enzymes, the structure of the active center, kinetic laws, as well as the effect of temperature, pH and substrate concentration on the speed of enzymatic reactions were analyzed on a scientific basis.
