This article analyzes the theoretical evolution of the study of human thinking and cognitive processes in experimental psychology, as well as fundamental cognitive models. Within the framework of the research, the method of systematic introspection developed by the Würzburg School, the insight concept of Gestalt psychology, the manipulative approach of behaviorism, the information-processing schemes of cognitivism, and modern neurocognitive dual-process theories are comparatively and theoretically examined. The article is purely theoretical in nature, relying on conceptual generalizations of experimental data, and aims to reveal the rational and irrational mechanisms of human thinking.References
