Abstract

This article explores effective ways of simplifying grammar instruction in English language teaching through a communicative approach. Traditional grammar teaching has often focused on isolated rules and mechanical exercises, which can lead to low student engagement and limited language use. Drawing on established theories in second language acquisition and communicative language teaching, this paper examines how grammar can be taught more meaningfully through context, interaction, and real-life communication. The study is based on qualitative analysis of scholarly sources rather than experimental data. The findings suggest that integrating form, meaning, and use enhances learners’ grammatical competence while maintaining motivation and fluency. The article concludes that communicative grammar teaching provides a more accessible and effective alternative to traditional methods.
