THE ANALYSIS OF THE TENSE SYSTEM IN ENGLISH AND UZBEK LANGUAGES
Main Article Content
Abstract:
This article provides a comparative analysis of the tense systems in English and Uzbek languages and highlights the main difficulties faced by EFL (English as a Foreign Language) learners. The complexity of tense and aspect categories in English, their equivalents in Uzbek, as well as typical errors made by students are analyzed through examples. Furthermore, the article demonstrates ways to overcome these difficulties using effective pedagogical approaches, namely contrastive analysis, visual aids, and communicative exercises.
