This paper examines the transformation of human resource management (HRM) in the context of the digital economy. As digital technologies continue to reshape business models and organizational structures, HRM is evolving from a traditional administrative function into a strategic driver of organizational development. The study identifies key areas of HR transformation, including digital recruitment, automation of HR processes, data-driven decision-making (People Analytics), and continuous employee development through digital learning platforms. Particular attention is given to the changing competency requirements, such as digital literacy, adaptability, and analytical thinking. The research also explores challenges associated with digital transformation, including resistance to change, data privacy concerns, and the need for effective change management. Additionally, the paper considers the context of Uzbekistan, where digitalization of the economy—especially in the banking and financial sectors—creates increasing demand for qualified human capital. The findings provide insights for organizations seeking to integrate digital technologies with effective human resource strategies to ensure sustainable development and competitiveness.
