Ushbu maqolada turizm mahsulotini shakllantirishda gastronomik turizmning ahamiyati, xorijiy turistlarga milliy taom va ichimliklarni taklif qilish, turistik hududlarda gastronomik turlarni tashkil qilish haqidagi ma’lumotlar keltirib o’tilgan. Shuningdek, xorijiy va mahalliy olimlarning gastronomik turizm tushunchasiga bergan ta’riflari yoritib berilgan.
