Abstract:

The article analyzes the composition of place names belonging to the Syrdarya region. The influence of suffixes in the formation of toponyms of the Syrdarya region, in particular, the role and importance of word-forming suffixes and their dictionary meanings are discussed. The explanatory dictionary of toponyms of Syrdarya region served as the main source of the article.
